Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Evan Saksa, an individual doing business as ZipList(“ZipList,” “we”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the ZipList service at getziplist.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account data: your email address, password (stored only as a salted hash by our authentication provider), and profile details you add (e.g. display name, ship-from ZIP).
• Marketplace connection data: the credentials and/or authenticated session data for the marketplace accounts you choose to connect. These are stored encrypted and used only to operate the connections you set up.
• Business content: the listings, photos, descriptions, prices, inventory, and order/sale information you create or import.
• Usage & technical data: logs, device/browser information, and diagnostic data used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• Payment data: if you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not store your card numbers — we receive only a customer/subscription reference from Stripe.

2. How we use your information

• To provide the Service — cross-list, import, edit, price, and delist on the marketplaces you connect.
• To auto-fill listing fields using AI, to detect sales, and to run the business features you use.
• To authenticate you, provide support, and send service and account emails.
• To bill you for paid plans and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To secure, maintain, debug, and improve the Service.

3. Service providers & who we share with

We use trusted providers to run the Service, and we share only what each needs to do its job:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Stripe — payment processing for paid plans.
• Proxy provider(s) (e.g. Byteful): to route automated connections to marketplaces on your behalf, your marketplace traffic may exit through third-party proxy IP addresses.
• AI provider (e.g. Google Gemini): listing text/photo data may be sent to the AI provider to generate suggested listing fields.
• Email provider (e.g. Postmark): to send account/notification email and to detect sale emails you route to us.
• The marketplaces you connect: to create and manage your listings, we send your listing content (including photos) to those marketplaces, subject to their own policies.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service, our users, or the public.

4. Listing photos

Photos you upload for listings may be hosted at publicly accessible URLs and are distributed to the marketplaces you post to (which serve them publicly on your live listings). Do not upload images you are not comfortable making public.

5. How we protect your data

Marketplace credentials and session data are encrypted at rest. Traffic to the Service is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable technical and organizational measures.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can disconnect a marketplace at any time (which removes its credentials), and you can delete your account from Settings. Deleting your account cancels any active billing, revokes/removes your stored marketplace connections, and purges your personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law (e.g. tax/payment records held by our processor).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these from within the app (Settings → account), or contact us at privacy@getziplist.com.

8. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to and may not be used by anyone under 18.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
